भीष्मस्य मण्डलव्यूहः — Bhīṣma’s Maṇḍala Battle-Formation and the Opening Engagements
इति श्रीमहाभारते भीष्मपर्वणि भीष्मवधपर्वणि पञठचमदिवसावहारे चतु:सप्ततितमोध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate bhīṣmaparvaṇi bhīṣmavadhaparvaṇi pañcamadivasāvahāre catuḥsaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ
وهكذا، في «المهابهاراتا الشريفة»، ضمن «قسم بهيشما (Bhīṣma Parva)»—وخاصةً في الجزء المتعلّق بسقوط بهيشما (مصرعه)—وفي سرد وقائع اليوم الخامس من القتال، تنتهي «الفصل الرابع والسبعون». وهذه خاتمةٌ (colophon) تُعلِن إغلاق وحدةٍ سردية، وتضع الأحداث تحت ثقل الأخلاق في الحرب، ومع اقتراب أفول الشيخ العظيم الذي ارتبط مصيره بالنذور والواجب وبالضرورات المأساوية لساحة المعركة.
