sañjaya uvāca |
śikhaṇḍī saha matsyena virāṭena viśāmpate |
bhīṣmam āśu maheṣvāsam āsasāda sudurjayam ||
قال سنجيا: يا سيّد الناس (الملك دريتاراشترا)، إن شيكاندي، مع فيراتا ملك الماتسيا، تقدّم مسرعًا نحو بهيشما—ذلك الرامي العظيم الذي يعسر قهره—فدفع المعركة إلى أشدّ لقاءاتها وأخطرها مصيرًا.
