Arjuna’s Advance toward Bhīṣma; The Gāṇḍīva’s Signal and the Armies’ Convergence (भीष्माभिमुखगमनम् — गाण्डीवनिर्घोष-ध्वजवर्णनम्)
युद्धमें आते ही उन्होंने अपने बाणोंसे भीमसेनको अदृश्य कर दिया, मानो सूर्य बादलोंसे ढक गये हों ।।
abhimanyumukhās tat tu nāmṛṣyanta mahārathāḥ | bhīmasyācchādanaṃ saṅkhye svabāhubalam āśritāḥ ||
قال سنجيا: غير أنّ عظماء فرسان المركبات، يتقدّمهم أبهيمانيو، لم يطيقوا أن يُغمر بهيما في قلب المعركة بعاصفة من السهام. فاعتمدوا على قوة سواعدهم، ودنَوا مُحاصِرين، وكفّوا بهاگاداتّا بإمطارٍ من النبال من كل جانب—حتى إن فيله هو أيضًا ثُقِب في جميع أرجائه.
