Bhīṣma–Dhanaṃjaya Duel and the Opening Clash
अभिशद्यत ततो व्यूहस्तस्मिन् वीरसमागमे । सर्वेषामेव सैन्यानामासीद् व्यतिकरो महान्,वीरोंके इस संघर्षमें सेनाओंका व्यूह भंग हो गया और सभी सैनिकोंका आपसमें महान् सम्मिश्रण हो गया
abhiśadyata tato vyūhas tasmin vīrasamāgame | sarveṣām eva sainyānām āsīd vyatikaro mahān ||
قال سنجيا: ثمّ، في ذلك المحفل الذي اجتمع فيه الأبطال، تكسّر صفُّ القتال وتبدّد نظامه؛ وقام بين جميع الجيوش اختلاطٌ عظيم—تزاحم الصديق والعدو في قتالٍ قريبٍ مضطرب، إذ انحسر النظام وبرزت قوّة الحرب العارية.
