Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
तमुवाच तत:ः पादौ कराभ्यां पीड्य पाण्डव: । भीष्मं शान्तनवं राजा युद्धाय समुपस्थितम्
tam uvāca tataḥ pādau karābhyāṃ pīḍya pāṇḍavaḥ | bhīṣmaṃ śāntanavaṃ rājā yuddhāya samupasthitam ||
قال سنجيا: ثم إن ملك الباندافا، وقد ضغط بيديه كلتيهما قدمي الجدّ الأكبر توقيرًا، خاطب بيشما ابن شانتانو، القائم مستعدًّا للقتال. ويبرز هذا المشهد توتّر الأخلاق في الحرب: فحتى حين يغدو الصدام حتميًّا، يظلّ الملك المحارب متمسّكًا بالدارما عبر التواضع، وإجلال الشيوخ، وطلب الإذن أو البركة قبل الإقدام على العنف.
