Wisdom in dharmic leadership includes the ability to perceive intention (abhiprāya) behind actions. Kṛṣṇa’s calm, smiling certainty suggests ethical clarity: decisions in conflict should be guided by insight into motives, not merely outward appearances.
Sañjaya narrates that Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva), described as great-minded and highly intelligent, speaks to those present and remarks—smiling—that he has already understood the intention of the person being referred to.
