भीष्मसेनासंनिवेशः — Bhīṣma’s Mobilization, Omens, and the Kaurava Array
तदड़पतिना गुप्तं कृपेण च मनस्विना । शारदाम्बुधरप्रख्यं प्राच्यानां सुमहद् बलम्,अंगराज तथा मनस्वी कृपाचार्यसे सुरक्षित पूर्वदेशीय क्षत्रियोंकी वह विशाल वाहिनी शरदऋतुके बादलोंके समान शोभा पाती थी
tad aṅgapatinā guptaṁ kṛpeṇa ca manasvinā | śāradāmbudharaprakhyaṁ prācyānāṁ sumahad balam ||
قال سنجيا: «ذلك الجيش الشرقي العظيم، المحروس بسيد أنغا (Aṅga) وبكِرِبا (Kṛpa) السامي الهمة، كان يلمع كغيوم الخريف—محصَّناً شديد البأس، إذ كانت الحرب تجمع قوّتها.»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the dharma of protection and command in war: a leader’s responsibility is to safeguard and organize the host, so that collective strength becomes both effective and morally accountable under capable guardianship.
Sañjaya describes a major contingent of eastern warriors in the Kaurava army. It is being protected and led by Aṅgarāja (Karṇa) together with the resolute Kṛpa, and its impressive appearance is compared to the grandeur of autumn clouds.
