भीष्मपतनविषये धृतराष्ट्रस्य प्रश्नाः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Questions on Bhīṣma’s Fall
य आत्मनो दुश्चरितादशुभ प्राप्तुयान्नर: । एनसा तेन नान््यं स उपाशड्कितुमर्हति,जो मनुष्य अपने दुष्कर्मोके कारण अशुभ फल भोग रहा हो, उसे उस पापकी आशंका दूसरेपर नहीं करनी चाहिये
ya ātmanaḥ duścaritād aśubhaṃ prāptuyān naraḥ | enasā tena nānyaṃ sa upāśaṅkitum arhati ||
قال سَنْجَايَا: إن الرجل الذي يذوق ثمرةً مشؤومة بسبب سوء فعله هو، لا يحقّ له أن يُلقي شبهة ذلك الإثم على أحدٍ سواه. فعبء الخطيئة وعاقبتها على فاعلها، لا على غيره.
