Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
यस्मिज्जाते महावीरयें शान्तनुलोकविश्रुत: । शोकं दैन्यं च दुःखं च प्राजहात् पुत्रलक्ष्मणि
yasmiñ jāte mahāvīrye śāntanulokaviśrutaḥ | śokaṁ dainyaṁ ca duḥkhaṁ ca prājahāt putralakṣmaṇi ||
قال دِهْرِتَرَاشْتْرَا: «حين وُلِد ذلك البطل العظيم—المشهور في العالم كله بأنه ابنُ شانتانو—طرحتُ عني الحزنَ والذلَّ والانكسارَ والألم، إذ بدا لي نعمةً بهيّة في صورةِ ابن.»
