कथं महात्मा गाजड़ेय: सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वर: । कालकर्ता नरव्याघ्र: सम्प्राप्ते दक्षिणायने
kathaṃ mahātmā gāṅgeyaḥ sarvaśastrabhṛtāṃ varaḥ | kālakartā naravyāghraḥ samprāpte dakṣiṇāyane ||
قال سنجيا: «كيف أن بهيشما العظيم النفس، ابن الغانغا—الأفضل بين حملة السلاح، نمرٌ بين الرجال، ومن يملك أن يحدّد حتى وقت موته—قَبِلَ الموت حين دخلت الشمس مسارها الجنوبي (دكشيناياṇa)؟ ولماذا يختار سيدُ النفس والقدر أن يرحل في ذلك الموسم؟»
संजय उवाच
