तमेक॑ छादयामासुर्मेघा इव दिवाकरम् । भीष्म भागीरथीपुत्र प्रतपन्तं रणे रिपून्
tam ekaṁ chādayāmāsur meghā iva divākaram | bhīṣma bhāgīrathīputra pratapantaṁ raṇe ripūn, paraṁtapa ||
قال سنجيا: كما تحجب السحبُ قرصَ الشمس، كذلك غطّى أولئك الأبطالُ بهيشما—أحاطوه بجماعات المشاة والفرسان وأهل العجلات، وبسهامٍ لا تُحصى. ومع ذلك، في ذلك الحين كان بهيشما، ابن البهاغيراثي (الغانغا)، قائمًا وحده في ساحة الوغى، يلهب صفوف الأعداء بحدّة بأسه—يا قاهر الأعداء!
