स समन्तात् परिवृतों भारतो भरतर्षभ । निर्ददाह रणे शूरान् वने वह्निरिव ज्वलन्,भरतभूषण! उस रणक्षेत्रमें सब ओरसे घिरे हुए भीष्म वनमें प्रज्वलित हुए दावानलके समान शूरवीरोंको दग्ध करने लगे
sa samantāt parivṛto bhārato bharatarṣabha | nirdadāha raṇe śūrān vane vahnir iva jvalan ||
قال سانجيا: «يا ثورَ آلِ بهاراتا، مع أنه كان مُحاطًا من كل جانب، فإن بهيشما—سليلَ بهاراتا—أخذ يُحرق الأبطال في ساحة القتال، متّقدًا كحريقِ غابةٍ في الأدغال.»
