Bhīṣma–Karṇa Saṃvāda on the Śaraśayyā (भीष्म–कर्ण संवादः शरशय्यायाम्)
sañjaya uvāca | dhṛṣṭadyumnas tu rājendra sarvasainyāny acodayat | abhyadravat gāṅgeyaṃ mā bhaiṣṭa rathasattamāḥ |

In the midst of war, a commander’s dharma includes sustaining morale and directing action without panic. The verse highlights disciplined courage—fear is acknowledged but must be mastered in service of one’s duty and strategy.
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that Dhrishtadyumna rallies the entire Pandava host and orders a direct assault on Bhishma (Gāṅgeya), telling the foremost chariot-warriors not to fear him.
