Bhīmasena’s Engagement with Multiple Mahārathas

The verse underscores the warrior-ethic of steadfast courage: when duty demands action, one advances without hesitation even against a formidable opponent. The repeated roaring signifies unwavering resolve and the moral intensity of kṣātra-dharma in battle.
Sañjaya describes the foremost Yādava (Kṛṣṇa) rushing at Bhīṣma with great speed, roaring repeatedly. The action is compared to a lion attacking a great elephant and to a herd-leader bull attacking another bull, emphasizing the ferocity and directness of the charge.
