Educational Q&A

Wealth associated with sacred rites should be redistributed as rightful gifts (dakṣiṇā) under proper authority, reflecting dharma through generosity, transparency, and social responsibility.

During Yudhiṣṭhira’s sacrificial proceedings, the gold and ornaments present in the sacrificial area are, with his permission, apportioned among the Brāhmaṇas as part of the ritual gifting.
