Righteous action (dharma) is not merely a private conviction; it is affirmed by the moral order of the world. The disembodied praise “sādhu sādhu” functions as a narrative sign that the act just performed aligns with dharma and is worthy of commendation.
Immediately after a significant deed in the Ashvamedhika episode, an unseen voice resounds from the sky proclaiming “Well done! Well done!” addressed to “Bhārata,” signaling approval and elevating the moment as one of recognized merit.
