इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत आश्वमेधिकपववके अन्तर्गत अनुगीतापर्वमें मपधराजकी पराजयविषयक बयासीवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate āśvamedhikaparvaṇi antargata anugītāparvaṇi madhrarājasya parājaya-viṣayakaḥ dvāśītitamo ’dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
وهكذا انتهى الفصل الثاني والثمانون، المتعلّق بهزيمة ملك مَدْرا، ضمن قسم «الأَنُوغيتا» في «بارفا الأَشْفَمِيدْهِيكا» من «المهابهاراتا» المقدّسة. وتُثبت هذه الخاتمةُ (الكولوفون) اكتمالَ وحدةٍ سردية، وتُشير إلى انتقال النص على نحوٍ منظم، مُذكِّرةً السامع بأن الوقائع—نصرًا كانت أم هزيمة—إنما تُؤطَّر ضمن القوس الأخلاقي والدَّرْمي الأوسع للملحمة.
