Ulūpī’s Disclosure and the Saṃjīvana-Maṇi: Arjuna’s Restoration (उलूपी-प्रकटनं संजीवनमणि-स्थापनं च)
“नरेश्वर! आगामी चैत्रमासकी पूर्णिमाको महाराज युधिष्ठिरके यज्ञका आरम्भ होगा। उसमें तुम अपनी इन दोनों माताओं और मन्त्रियोंके साथ अवश्य आना' ।।
arjuna uvāca — nareśvara! āgāmī caitramāsakī pūrṇimāyāṃ mahārāja yudhiṣṭhirasya yajñasya ārambho bhaviṣyati; tasmin tvaṃ svābhyāṃ etābhyāṃ mātṛbhyāṃ mantribhiś ca sārdham avaśyam āgaccha. ityevam uktaḥ pārthena sa rājā babhruvāhanaḥ; uvāca pitaram dhīmān idam aśrāvilocanaḥ.
قال أرجونا: «أيها الملك، في يوم البدر القادم من شهر تشيترا (Caitra) سيبدأ قربان الملك يودهشثيرا. فلا بدّ أن تأتي إلى هناك، مع هاتين الأمّين لك ومع وزرائك.» فلما خاطبه بارثا (أرجونا) بهذا، تكلّم الملك الحكيم بابروفاهانا، وقد امتلأت عيناه بالدموع، إلى أبيه قائلاً—
अर्जुन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma in the form of royal and familial responsibility: participation in a righteous public rite (yajña) is not merely ceremonial but a reaffirmation of alliance, gratitude, and social order; it also models respectful communication—inviting even those recently in tension into a shared dharmic act.
Arjuna informs King Babhruvāhana that Yudhiṣṭhira’s sacrifice will commence on the upcoming Caitra full moon and instructs him to attend with his two mothers and ministers. After hearing this, Babhruvāhana—moved to tears—turns to speak to his father, Arjuna.
