Educational Q&A

The passage highlights ethical kingship and dharmic conduct through Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s qualities—truthfulness (satyasaṃdha/satyapratijña) and generosity—showing that honoring others and keeping one’s word are central virtues, especially in royal and familial rites.

Vaiśampāyana narrates that Śrī Kṛṣṇa, pleased with the king’s father as a child, gives him jewel-gifts; other Yādavas also offer presents; then Kṛṣṇa proceeds to perform the child’s naming ceremony.
