The verse highlights how sacred action is framed by purity and auspiciousness: incense and flowers are not mere decoration but ethical-symbolic markers of reverence, restraint, and a consecrated environment for ritual duty.
The narrator describes the ritual setting as permeated with incense fragrance and covered with flowers, indicating that the ceremony (in the Ashvamedhika context) is being conducted with full traditional honors and sanctity.
