गृहीत्वा कुण्डले दिव्ये गुरुपत्न्या: प्रियंकर: । जवेन महता प्रायाद् गौतमस्याश्रमं प्रति,गुरुपत्नीका प्रिय करनेवाले उत्तंक दोनों दिव्य कुण्डल लेकर बड़े वेगसे गौतमके आश्रमकी ओर बढ़े
gṛhītvā kuṇḍale divye gurupatnyāḥ priyaṅkaraḥ | javena mahatā prāyād gautamasyāśramaṃ prati ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: ولمّا أخذ أُتَّنْكَ القُرطين الإلهيَّين—وهما عزيزان على زوجة معلّمه وفيهما إرضاؤها—انطلق مسرعًا مسرعةً عظيمةً نحو أشرم غوتَما.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as prompt, faithful fulfillment of one’s obligation to the guru’s household—acting to please the guru-patnī and hastening to complete the entrusted task without negligence.
Uttaṅka has obtained the divine earrings desired by his teacher’s wife; carrying them, he departs quickly and heads toward Gautama’s hermitage to deliver them and complete his duty.
