Brahmopadeśa: Adhipatitva-kathana, Dharma-lakṣaṇa, and Kṣetra–Kṣetrajña Viveka
Book 14, Chapter 43
न सत्यं विन्दते वक्षित क्षेत्रज्ञस्त्वेव विन्दति । गुणानां गुणभूतानां यत् परं परमं महत्,जो गुणों और गुणोंके कार्योंसे अत्यन्त परे है, उस परम महान् सत्यस्वरूप क्षेत्रज्ञको कोई नहीं जानता, परंतु वह सबको जानता है
na satyaṃ vindate vakti kṣetrajñas tveva vindati | guṇānāṃ guṇabhūtānāṃ yat paraṃ paramaṃ mahat |
قال فايُو: لا أحد يستطيع أن يعرف حقًّا أو يصف وصفًا تامًّا تلك الحقيقة العُليا—كْشِتْرَجْنْيا (Kṣetrajña)، «عارف الحقل»—الذي يتجاوز كليًّا الغونات (guṇas) وكلَّ الآثار الناشئة عنها. غير أنّ ذلك الذاتَ الأعلى، العظيمَ الأسمى، يعلم جميع الكائنات وكلَّ الأشياء.
वायुदेव उवाच
The ultimate Self (kṣetrajña), the inner witness, is beyond the guṇas and all guṇa-born phenomena; it cannot be fully grasped by ordinary knowing or speech, yet it is the universal knower. The verse urges turning from changing qualities to the changeless witness and cultivating humility about conceptual claims.
Vāyudeva is speaking in a didactic passage, presenting a philosophical instruction about the supreme reality: beings cannot comprehend the transcendent kṣetrajña, but that kṣetrajña comprehends all. The focus is teaching rather than action.
