Transliteration

tamo rajastathā sattvaṃ guṇān etān pracakṣate | anyonyamithunāḥ sarve tathānyonyānujīvinaḥ ||

Translation

قال فايُو: «الظلمة (tamas)، والنشاط (rajas)، والصفاء (sattva)—هذه الثلاثة تُسمّى الغونات. وكلّها تتعارض فيما بينها، ومع ذلك يعتمد بعضها على بعض، ويسند بعضها بعضًا، ويتبع بعضها بعضًا، وتبقى ممتزجة.»
