क्रियावद्धि्हिं कौन्तेय देवलोक: समावृत: । न चैतदिष्टं देवानां मर्त्यरूपनिवर्तनम्,कुन्तीकुमार! क्रियावान् पुरुषोंसे देवलोक भरा पड़ा है। देवताओंको यह अभीष्ट नहीं है कि मनुष्यके मर्त्यरूपकी निवृत्ति हो
kriyāvaddhiḥ kaunteya devalokaḥ samāvṛtaḥ | na caitadiṣṭaṃ devānāṃ martyarūpanivartanam, kuntīkumāra |
قال فايو: «يا ابن كونتي، إن عالم السماء مملوءٌ بمن اغتنى بالأعمال المقدّسة وبالانضباط في أداء الواجب. ولا ترغب الآلهة في أن تُطرَح عن الفاني حالته البشرية (قبل أوانها)؛ إذ إن النظام الإلهي يُصان حين يثبت الناس في الحيّز المعيَّن لهم ويطلبون الثواب بأعمالٍ مستقيمة.»
