व्याधि-गुण-साम्योपदेशः | Discourse on Affliction, Guṇa-Equilibrium, and the Inner Battle

यत्र नैव शरै: कार्य न भृत्यैर्न च बन्धुभि: । आत्मनैकेन योद्धव्यं तत्‌ ते युद्धमुपस्थितम्‌,मनके साथ होनेवाले इस युद्धमें न तो बाणोंका काम है और न सेवकों तथा बन्धु- बान्धवोंका ही। इस समय इसमें आपको अकेले ही युद्ध करना है और वह युद्ध सामने उपस्थित है

yatra naiva śaraiḥ kāryaṁ na bhṛtyair na ca bandhubhiḥ | ātmanāikena yoddhavyaṁ tat te yuddham upasthitam ||

حيث لا تنفع السهام، ولا الخدم، ولا حتى ذوو القربى—هناك يجب أن تقاتل وحدك، مع نفسك وحدها. تلك المعركة قد حضرت الآن أمامك. إنّ إله الريح يشير إلى صراعٍ باطنيٍّ منفرد، لا تحسمه القوة الخارجية ولا سندُ الناس؛ وإنما يحسمه العزمُ الشخصي، وضبطُ النفس، والتمسّكُ بالدارما.
