अध्याय १५ (Āśramavāsika-parva): धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनवासानुज्ञायाचनम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s renewed plea for consent to forest-dwelling
iti sā niścitāivāśu vanavāsāya bhāvinī | lālapyatāṃ bahuvidhaṃ putrāṇāṃ nākarod vacaḥ ||

Steadfastness in a chosen dharmic path: Kuntī prioritizes a life of austerity and withdrawal (vanavāsa) over emotional persuasion, showing that ethical/spiritual resolve may require resisting even heartfelt familial appeals.
Kuntī has already decided to go live in the forest. Her sons plead and lament in many ways to dissuade her, but she does not accept their request and remains firm in her decision.
