नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
न देवतानां काचिद्धि समर्था जातवेदस: । एता हि शक्तास्तं गर्भ संधारयितुमोजसा
na devatānāṃ kācid dhi samarthā jātavedasaḥ | etā hi śaktās taṃ garbhaṃ sandhārayitum ojasā ||
قال بهيشما: «لم تكن في نساء السماء واحدةٌ قادرةً على احتمال التوهّج المحرق لِـجاتافيداس (أغني). إنما كانت هذه الكِرِتّيكات وحدهنّ ذواتِ القوة على حمل ذلك الجنين وتغذيته بقدرة حياتهنّ.»
भीष्म उवाच
Power and responsibility must be matched with capacity: only those with the requisite strength and preparedness should be entrusted with sustaining or carrying intense force, otherwise harm results. The verse highlights discernment in assigning roles according to fitness (adhikāra).
Bhīṣma explains why the Kṛttikās were chosen to bear and nourish a divine embryo associated with Agni’s blazing energy: no other celestial woman could sustain that fiery potency, whereas the Kṛttikās could support it through their own ojas.
