Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तेजकी राशिभूत अग्निदेवका तुम सब लोग शीघ्र अन्वेषण करो। वे तुम्हारी मनोवांछित कामनाको पूर्ण करेंगे ।।
etad vākyam upaśrutya tato devā mahātmanaḥ | jagmuḥ saṃsiddha-saṅkalpāḥ paryeṣanto vibhāvasum ||
قال بهيشما: فلما سمع الآلهةُ كلامَ ذلك العظيم النفس—وقد اشتدّ عزمهم واطمأنّوا إلى النجاح—انطلقوا من هناك يلتمسون فيبهافاسو (Vibhāvasu)، أي أغني.
भीष्म उवाच
After receiving guidance from a noble authority, one should act promptly and with steady resolve. The verse highlights disciplined follow-through—hearing right counsel is incomplete unless it leads to determined, ethical action.
The gods hear the instruction of a great-souled figure and then depart to search for Vibhāvasu (Agni). Their intention is fixed and their plan is set, so they proceed to carry out the quest.
