Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
सेन्द्रेषु चैव लोकेषु प्रतिष्ठां विन्दते शुभाम् इह लोके यश: प्राप्प शान्तपाप्मा च मोदते
sendreṣu caiva lokeṣu pratiṣṭhāṁ vindate śubhām | iha loke yaśaḥ prāpya śāntapāpmā ca modate ||
قال فاسيشثا: «في العوالم التي يتولاها إندرا وسائر الحُرّاس، ينال منزلةً مباركةً وكرامة. وهنا في هذا العالم أيضًا، بعد أن يظفر بحسن الذكر، يعيش فرِحًا—وقد سكنت خطاياه واطمأنّ ضميره.»

Right conduct (dharma) yields a double fruit: auspicious honor in higher realms (among Indra and the lokapālas) and, in this world, good reputation and inner peace—described as being ‘śānta-pāpmā’, with sin quieted or removed.
