Chapter 85: Suvarṇasya Janma ca Pradāna-Phalam
The Origin of Gold and the Merit of Gifting
एवं गोशकृतः: पुत्र माहात्म्यं तेडनुवर्णितम् । माहात्म्यं च गवां भूय: श्रूयतां गदतो मम,बेटा! इस तरह मैंने तुमसे गोबरका माहात्म्य बतलाया है। अब पुनः गौओंका माहात्म्य बतला रहा हूँ, सुनो
evaṁ gośakṛtaḥ putra māhātmyaṁ te ’nuvārṇitam | māhātmyaṁ ca gavāṁ bhūyaḥ śrūyatāṁ gadato mama, vatsa ||
قال بهيشما: «يا بُنيّ، هكذا وصفتُ لك عظمة ما تُنتجه البقرة (روثها). والآن، فاسمع مرةً أخرى وأنا أُبيّن مجد الأبقار أنفسهنّ، وهو أعظم.»
भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma frames cows and even their by-products as ethically and ritually significant, urging attentive listening to teachings that connect everyday conduct and purity practices with dharma and merit.
