स हि पुत्रान् यशो<र्थ च श्रियं चाप्यधिगच्छति । नाशयत्यशुभं चैव दुःस्वप्रं चाप्पपोहति,वह अपने लिये पुत्र, यश, धन और सम्पत्ति प्राप्त करता है तथा अशुभ कर्म और दुःस्वप्नका नाश कर देता है
sa hi putrān yaśo 'rthaṃ ca śriyaṃ cāpy adhigacchati | nāśayaty aśubhaṃ caiva duḥsvapnaṃ cāpy apapohati ||
قال بهيشما: إنّ مثل هذا الرجل ينال حقًّا البنينَ وحسنَ الذكرِ والرخاءَ أيضًا؛ ويُبيدُ النحسَ ويطردُ الأحلامَ الشريرة.
भीष्म उवाच
That dharmic conduct and prescribed virtuous observances yield tangible social goods—offspring, reputation, prosperity—and also remove inauspicious influences, including distressing dreams.
In Anushasana Parva, Bhishma continues instructing Yudhishthira on dharma; here he states the fruits that accrue to one who follows the recommended righteous practice—worldly success and the dispelling of ill-omens.
