Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)

यस्यां यस्यामवस्थायां यत्‌ करोति शुभाशुभम्‌ | तस्यां तस्यामवस्थायां भुद्धक्ते जन्मनि जन्मनि,जिस-जिस अवस्थामें वह जो-जो शुभ या अशुभ कर्म करता है, प्रत्येक जन्मकी उसी- उसी अवस्थामें वह उसका फल भोगता है

yasyāṁ yasyām avasthāyāṁ yat karoti śubhāśubham | tasyāṁ tasyām avasthāyāṁ bhunkte janmani janmani ||

قال بهيشما: «في أيّ حالٍ أو طورٍ من أطوار الحياة يفعل المرء خيرًا أو شرًّا، فإنه في ولادةٍ بعد ولادة يذوق نتيجته في ذلك الصنف من الحال بعينه؛ وهكذا يثمر الكارما على نحوٍ يوافق الحالة التي صُنع فيها».
