इत्येतत् सर्वदानानां श्रेष्ठमुक्ते तवानघ । मया भरतशार्दूल कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि

قال بهيشما: «هكذا، يا من لا إثمَ عليه، قد أعلنتُ لك أسمى العطايا كلِّها. يا نمرَ آلِ بهاراتا، ماذا تريد أن تسمع بعدُ؟ يا من لا عيبَ فيه، يا أفضلَ البهاراتيين!»
भीष्म उवाच
Bhishma concludes his instruction by affirming that he has explained the foremost form of charity among all gifts, and he invites the listener to ask for further teachings—modeling the dharmic method of instruction: clarity, completion, and openness to continued inquiry.
In the Anushasana Parva’s discourse on dharma, Bhishma addresses Yudhishthira with honorific epithets, stating that he has finished describing the supreme gift (in context, the praised ‘gift of earth/land’) and asks what else Yudhishthira wishes to hear next.
