Adhyāya 59: On Giving to the Asker and Supporting the Non-asking (याचक-अयाचक-दाने धर्मः)
बाढमेवं करिष्यामि काम त्वत्तो महामुने । ब्रह्मभूतं कुलं मे5स्तु धर्मे चास्य मनो भवेत्
bāḍham evaṁ kariṣyāmi kāma tvatto mahāmune | brahmabhūtaṁ kulaṁ me 'stu dharme cāsya mano bhavet ||
«حسنًا، سأفعل ذلك على وجهه. غير أنّي، أيها الحكيمُ العظيم، أسألك نعمةً واحدة: أن يصير نسلي حقًّا ذا خُلُقٍ براهميّ، وأن يظلّ قلبه مُقيمًا على الدارما.»
