Adhyāya 59: On Giving to the Asker and Supporting the Non-asking (याचक-अयाचक-दाने धर्मः)
भविता त्वं च सम्बन्धी भूगूणां भावितात्मनाम् | तुमसे तीसरी पीढ़ीमें तुम्हें ब्राह्मणत्व प्राप्त हो जायगा और तुम शुद्ध अन्तः:करणवाले भगुवंशियोंके सम्बन्धी होओगे
bhavitā tvaṃ ca sambandhī bhṛgūṇāṃ bhāvitātmanām |
ستغدو حقًّا قريبًا من آلِ بْهْرِغو (Bhṛgu)، أولئك الذين طهرت سرائرُهم وتهذّبت نفوسُهم. وفي أوانه (ولو عبر الأجيال)، ستنال في الجيل الثالث من بعدك منزلةَ البراهمن (brāhmaṇa)، وتُوصَل سلالتُك بقرابةٍ مع ذلك النسبِ البْهْرِغيّ الطاهر.
व्यववन उवाच
Inner cultivation and purity (bhāvitātman) are presented as the basis for worthy affiliation and elevated status; ethical refinement and disciplined character are what make one fit for association with revered lineages like the Bhṛgus.
The speaker gives a boon/assurance about the listener’s future: the person will become connected by kinship with the Bhṛgu family and, over time, attain recognized brāhmaṇa status—framing social identity as linked to moral and spiritual refinement.
