भीष्म उवाच इत्युक्तो विपुलस्तेन तपस्वी नियतेन्द्रिय:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | ity ukto vipulas tena tapasvī niyatendriyaḥ |

Translation

قال بيشما: لما خوطِبَ بذلك، قَبِلَ فيبولا—وهو ناسكٌ مُهذَّبُ الحواس—التعليمَ وقال: «ليكن كذلك». وكان متألّقًا كالنار والشمس، ثابتًا على التقشّف الشديد، متمسّكًا بالدارما وبالصدق، فامتثل لأمر معلّمه. ثمّ، إذ كان المُعلِّم على وشك الرحيل، عاد فيبولا فسأله على هذا النحو.
