Educational Q&A

Material comforts—pleasures, ornaments, and fine housing—do not equal the value of considerate, affectionate treatment in intimacy; relational harmony depends more on respect and kindness than on possessions.

In Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues instructing Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma, here emphasizing a practical principle of household life: emotional consideration and tenderness are prized more than external gifts.
