इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें वीतहव्यका उपाख्याननागमक तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,सर्वान्‌ देवान्‌ नमस्यन्ति ये चैक वेदमाश्रिता: । श्रद्धधानाश्ष दान्ताश्न दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते

sarvān devān namasyanti ye caika-vedam āśritāḥ | śraddadhānāś ca dāntāś ca durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

قال بهيشما: إن الذين يسجدون لجميع الآلهة، ويلتجئون إلى الفيدا الواحدة—متحلّين بالإيمان وضبط النفس—يعبرون الممرات العسيرة والعقبات المهلكة. ويؤكد هذا التعليم أن التوقير، والارتكاز على النص المقدس، والسلوك المنضبط، إذا اجتمعت، صارت وسيلة لعبور شدائد الحياة بأمان.
