ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins
पादावुपस्मृश्य शनै: प्रह्ृष्टो वाक््यमब्रवीत् | एवमप्यस्मि भगवन् कृतकृत्यो न संशय:
pādāv upaspṛśya śanaiḥ prahṛṣṭo vākyam abravīt | evam apy asmi bhagavan kṛtakṛtyo na saṃśayaḥ ||
وبعد أن مسَّ برفقٍ قدمي (الناسك) وهو مغمور بالسرور قال: «يا مبارك، إن كان الأمر حقًّا كذلك فقد أنجزتُ ما ينبغي إنجازه—ولا شكّ في ذلك».
भीष्म उवाच
Reverent humility toward a worthy teacher and trust in truthful instruction: when guidance is received and accepted, one feels ethically ‘complete’ (kṛtakṛtya), free from doubt.
A listener, delighted by a truthful statement, respectfully touches the elder’s feet and declares that, if the teaching is as stated, his purpose is fulfilled and he has no uncertainty.
