Pūjya-namaskārya-prakaraṇa
On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
तदुत्सृज्येह दुष्प्रापं ब्राह्म॒ण्यमकृतात्मभि:
tad utsṛjyeha duṣprāpaṁ brāhmaṇyam akṛtātmabhiḥ
لذلك فليُترَك هذا جانبًا هنا: فإنّ البراهمنية الحقّة عسيرةٌ جدًّا على من لم يُهذِّب نفسه ولم يُنقِّها.
शक्र उवाच
Brahminhood is presented as an ethical-spiritual attainment grounded in self-mastery; without inner discipline (kṛtātman), it remains difficult to reach.
Śakra (Indra) is speaking and draws a conclusion from the preceding discussion: he urges setting aside a claim or assumption and emphasizes that the status of a true brāhmaṇa is not easily attained by the undisciplined.
