Contact with the sacred Gaṅgā—here depicted as radiant, wind-driven, uplifting waves—purifies and bestows great merit, leading to a luminous, elevated state in the afterlife, comparable to the sun’s brilliance.
A Siddha describes the spiritual result of being bathed/illumined by the Gaṅgā’s beautiful, swiftly surging waves: such persons attain a radiant splendor in the next world, likened to the thousand-rayed sun.
