गड्जद्वारे कुशावर्ते बिल्वके नीलपर्वते । तथा कनखले स्नात्वा धूतपाप्मा दिवं व्रजेत्,गंगाद्वार, कुशावर्त, बिल्वक तीर्थ, नील पर्वत तथा कनखलमें स्नान करके पापरहित हुआ मनुष्य स्वर्गलोकको जाता है
Gaṅgādvāre Kuśāvarte Bilvake Nīlaparvate | tathā Kanakhale snātvā dhūtapāpmā divaṁ vrajet ||
من اغتسل عند هذه المخاضات المقدّسة—غانغادفارا (Gaṅgādvāra)، كوشافارتا (Kuśāvarta)، بيلفاكا (Bilvaka)، نيلابارفاتا (Nīlaparvata)، وكذلك كاناخالا (Kanakhala)—تطهّر من الخطيئة ومضى إلى السماء.
अजड्रिय उवाच
The verse teaches that tīrtha-bathing at renowned sacred sites is traditionally regarded as a means of moral and ritual purification, leading to the accrual of merit and the attainment of heavenly realms—especially when aligned with dharmic conduct.
Within the Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction on dharma and religious observances, the speaker lists specific pilgrimage locations and states the फल (result): bathing there renders one ‘dhūtapāpmā’ (sin-cleansed) and fit to attain heaven.
