विमुज्चति न पुण्यात्मा शरण्य: शरणागतान् । आयुरारोग्यमैश्वर्य वित्तं कामांश्व॒ पुष्कलान्
vimuñcati na puṇyātmā śaraṇyaḥ śaraṇāgatān | āyur ārogyam aiśvaryaṁ vittaṁ kāmāṁś ca puṣkalān ||
قال فايُو: «إنّ البارّ، الجدير بأن يكون ملجأً، لا يهجر أبدًا من جاءه مستجيرًا. ولمن يمنح الملجأ تنالُه طولُ العمر، والصحّة، والسلطان، والمال، ووفرةُ قضاء الرغبات المحمودة.»
वायुदेव उवाच
One who is truly righteous and fit to be a protector must not forsake those who have surrendered for refuge; steadfast protection of the dependent is presented as a central dharma that yields both moral merit and worldly well-being.
Vāyu is speaking in a didactic context, praising the virtue of being a reliable refuge (śaraṇya) and stating the fruits that follow from not abandoning supplicants—longevity, health, prosperity, wealth, and abundant fulfillment.
