महेन्द्रगुरव: सप्त प्राचीं वै दिशमाश्रिता: । प्रयत: कीर्तयेदेतान् शक्रलोके महीयते
mahendraguravaḥ sapta prācīṃ vai diśam āśritāḥ | prayataḥ kīrtayed etān śakraloke mahīyate ||
قال بيشما: «إن الحكماء السبعة المعروفين بأنهم مُعلِّمو ماهيندرا يقيمون في جهة المشرق. ومن كان طاهر القلب منضبطًا، فذكر أسماءهم بخشوع، نال الشرف وعلوّ المنزلة في عالم شَكرا (إندرا).»
भीष्म उवाच
Purity of mind and disciplined conduct, joined with reverent remembrance/recitation of revered sages, is presented as a dharmic practice that yields spiritual merit and exalted attainment (honor in Indra’s realm).
Bhīṣma continues his instruction on dharma by describing a group of seven revered figures associated with Indra (Mahendra) who dwell in the east, and he states the फल (result) of devoutly reciting their names: one becomes honored in Śakra’s world.
