Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

कर्मणामस्य कौन्तेय नानन्‍्तं संख्यातुमुत्सहे । शाश्व॒तस्य पुराणस्य पुरुषस्य युधिष्ठिर,कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर! इन सनातन पुराणपुरुष श्रीकृष्णके चरित्रोंकी कोई सीमा या संख्या नहीं बतायी जा सकती

karmanām asya kaunteya nānantaṁ saṅkhyātum utsahe | śāśvatasya purāṇasya puruṣasya yudhiṣṭhira ||

قال بهيشما: «يا يودهيشثيرا ابنَ كونتي—لا أجرؤ على إحصاء الأعمال التي لا تُحصى لذلك الشخص الأزليّ القديم. إن مآثره بلا حدّ يُقاس أو يُستوفى عدًّا.»
