pūrṇe ca daśame māsi putro 'sya paramādbhutaḥ | rukmiṇyāṁ sammato jajñe śūro vaṁśadharaḥ prabho prabho ||
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal that a worthy, accepted heir sustains family and social order; lineage-continuity is portrayed as auspicious when joined with virtue and heroism.
Bhīṣma narrates that after the completion of the tenth month, Rukmiṇī gives birth to an extraordinary, heroic son who is welcomed as the future continuer of the family line.
