Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival
mānavaloke yo bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇasya śaraṇaṃ gamiṣyati, sa kīrtiṃ vijayaṃ ca uttamaṃ svargaṃ ca prāpsyati.
Surrendering to Śrī Kṛṣṇa (śaraṇāgati) is presented as a dharmic refuge that yields both ethical-social fruit (kīrti: honorable reputation) and practical success (vijaya), culminating in a superior posthumous destiny (uttama svarga).
The speaker identified as Īśvara delivers a phala-śruti style assurance: in the human realm, one who takes Kṛṣṇa as their shelter is promised specific results—renown, victory, and attainment of the highest heaven—thereby encouraging devotion and reliance on divine guidance.
