Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)

ब्राह्मणान्‌ दुर्बलानाथान्‌ दीनान्धकृपणांस्तथा । बिभर्त्यन्नेन या नारी सा पतिव्रतभागिनी

brāhmaṇān durbalānāthān dīnāndhakṛpaṇāṁs tathā | bibharty annena yā nārī sā pativratabhāginī ||

قال ماهيشڤارا: إن المرأة التي تُعيل بالطعام البراهمة، والضعفاء، والعاجزين، والفقراء، والعميان، والمعدمين—هي حقًّا شريكة في ثواب «دارما الباتيفراتا» (دارما الزوجة الوفية). فوفاؤها لا يقتصر على السلوك الخاص، بل يتجلّى في واجب البيت الرحيم، حيث يصبح إطعام المستضعفين فعلًا أخلاقيًّا يثمر ثمرة فضيلة الزوجة.
