Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
sukhabhāgī nirāyāso niruddhavegaḥ sadā naraḥ | eṣa devi satāṁ mārgo bādhā yatra na vidyate ||
The core teaching is that the ‘path of the good’ is marked by inner restraint and steadiness: when impulses are controlled and life is aligned with dharma, one naturally lives with less agitation, enjoys well-being, and obstacles lose their power to disturb.
Śrī Mahādeva addresses Devī, describing the character and outcome of a virtuous person: such a person remains calm and self-governed, and therefore proceeds on a righteous path where afflictions and impediments do not prevail.
