Shloka 12
न धनानि न वासांसि न भोगान् न च काउचनम् । न गावो नान्नविकृतिं प्रयच्छन्ति कदाचन,वेन धन, न वस्त्र, न भोग, न सुवर्ण, न गौ और न अन्नकी बनी हुई नाना प्रकारकी खाद्य वस्तुओंका कभी दान करते हैं
na dhanāni na vāsāṃsi na bhogān na ca kāñcanam | na gāvo nānnavikṛtiṃ prayacchanti kadācana ||
قال شري ماهيشڤارا: «إنهم لا يتصدّقون قطّ—لا بالمال ولا بالثياب، ولا بوسائل المتاع ولا بالذهب؛ ولا بالبقر ولا بأصناف الطعام المُعَدّة المتنوّعة. وهكذا يظلون منغلقين عن السخاء وعن واجب العطاء».
